I am looking for a systems, network, or security operations role where I own the environment rather than just the ticket queue. The resume, lab, and writeup pages cover what I already run.
Role, environment, and fit
Sysadmin / Network Admin
Directory services, virtualization, firewalls and VLAN segmentation, backups that get verified, and monitoring that someone actually reads. I do all of it on the lab side now and want it as the job, not the thing I do after the queue is clear.
Somewhere IT is in the room for the decision
Infrastructure that gets planning time and a budget line instead of being noticed only when it breaks, and a route from this job to senior systems and network work.
A lean team or a defined lane
I run the mobile POS program essentially on my own, and I have done store builds and network upgrades alongside a team and with vendors. Either shape works.
A clear path forward
More certifications are in progress. Kubernetes, Terraform, and infrastructure as code are next on the lab. I would rather be somewhere that treats that as normal than somewhere it needs justifying.
